The HANNOVER MESSE 2026 took place from 20 to 24 April 2026 at the Hannover Exhibition Grounds. It is one of the most important industrial trade fairs in the world and brings together companies, researchers, engineers, startups, politicians and decision-makers from many countries. The official motto for 2026 was “Think Tech Forward”.
This year, the main focus was clearly on the transformation of industry. Topics such as Industrial AI, automation, digitalization, robotics, energy infrastructure, hydrogen, industrial software, IT/OT security and research transfer were strongly represented. According to Deutsche Messe, around 3,000 exhibiting companies from mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, digital industry and the energy sector presented solutions for a more competitive and sustainable industry.
A central topic was Artificial Intelligence in industry. AI is no longer only a research topic; it is becoming part of real production environments.
